And I had a great visit with my college roommate! Because she is teaching in China, it can be difficult to find time to keep in touch. I really enjoyed having time to chat with her... and meet her new husband! I was in her wedding last year, but I missed out on most of her dating experience (because I was in my first year of marriage myself), so it was really fun to see her and her hubby interact : ) I won't bore you with all of the details of their stay, but here are some pictures of the places we went.
Gyeong-bok-gung palace in Seoul
A rather short doorway. (L-R: Roomate's hubby, Roomate, My hubby)
We were both born in the year of the tiger...
In Korea, guys carry their girlfriend's purse. My hubby was being kind and carrying my heavy bag for me... I think it looked rather good on him.
At the Korean War Memorial
We went to a beautiful island called Geojae
POW camp on Geojae.
Rice fields ready to harvest
View from on top of the mountain.
I'll be back tomorrow with some exciting stuff!
