We cloth diaper.
Whew. There, I got it out.
Whether you cloth diaper or not, please don't judge me for anything I say about my diapering technique (unless it is harmful to my Kiddo). I don't really know what I am doing and I like it that way.
Cloth diapering has kind of become a fad and there are TONS of options. I don't really understand any of them or know the lingo. Here is what I figure: Pretty much everyone my parents generation and older used cloth diapers for their kids... how hard can it be?
That being said, I did have a slight problem. My little guy likes to pee... A LOT. I don't really have access too good absorbent diaper inserts here either. So I got a little creative and made my own.
I had a bunch of old T-shirts that I had been saving for a time I felt inspired. Well, yesterday I felt inspired to make my son's diapers more absorbent. I cut off the the torso part of the shirt and folded it into 3 inch sections. Then I sewed around the outside in a square. Since they are just going in diapers I didn't have to worry about making them look pretty.
Just exactly how do they work? Let me show you. We use pre-folds.

All ready to put in the diaper cover!
And they hold a LOT more liquid than before. Hurray!
