When I saw this fabric at the market, I FEEL IN LOVE! It reminded me of an old fashion circus. It was a total impulse buy, but I felt like I couldn't live without it! Wouldn't it make such a cute summer skirt?!
And so that's exactly what I did. I turned it into a skirt. The Circus Skirt to be exact : )
This was kind of an experiment, but it turned out pretty good : )
I shirred the top with my wonderful elastic thread. I learned later that I should have put the lines 1/2inch apart instead of 1/4inch, but it turned out ok.
I decided to leave the bottom unfinished. It already had this nice fuzzy edge, and I felt that it added to the character of the skirt.
I can't wait for it to get really warm!
