I am a horrible drawer. I cannot do proportions, color, you name it. I can't hardly draw a straight line or a circle!

So how can someone be crafty without being able to draw? I learned this wonderful tip from my mother : )  

TEMPLATES

In this day of google image, it is so easy to find almost any picture you want. Here is what I usually do: 

1. Go to google image and type in "(whatever you are searching for) template". 
2. When you find one that looks good, click on the picture. Is it the right size? Good. If not, you can copy and paste it into a word or ppt document and resize it. 
3. Tape a piece of white paper to your computer. I have a laptop, so I usually open the screen onto a pillow for support. 
4. Trace the picture lightly with a pencil (your computer should back light the image). 
5. Cut out the image you drew and use it as a tracing template! 

I do the same thing for fonts!

Open your word document, write what you want to say.

Choose your font and size. 

Now, you can do 2 things, either trace the writing and recopy, or tape your final piece of paper to the computer and copy with a marker. 

I do this all the time and I love it!
