A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Sewing Can Save You Some $$

I'm cheap. Like super cheap. Like I don't even like buying groceries because I have to spend money cheap. Most of the time I set a price in my mind of what I think something should be and then freak out (in my mind of course) if the actual price is over that. If you're super cheap like me, let me just motivate you to learn to sew... and beg people for their old clothes : )

Phone pouch: $3
(Think about how much a Vera Bradly one would cost)

Messenger Bag: $4
(Bag given)

Crochet Tank: Free
(yarn, shirt, buttons all given)

Snail Tote and Flower: Free
(Bag from gifted skirt and flower from gifted fabric)

Hot Pads: less than #1
(fabric gifted)

Knit Skirt: $4

Scarf: $3

Khaki Skirt: $1.50

Lookalike Denim Skirt: $4

Reversible Bag: $5

So, some of my creations are not as high quality as ones I could buy from the store, but believe me, they will be worn until they die.
Also, I've realized that I can get great deals in the market here on fabrics. A lot of times if I hem and haw a little bit they'll reduce the price for me : )  I make it a rule to never pay anything over 6,000W for a yard (about $6 US). A little bit of fabric goes a long way though. I've made at least 3 things out of the Reversible Bag fabric. I have enough Khaki fabric left over to make at least one more skirt! I'm telling you, learn to sew, knit, crochet... something! Not only is it a great hobby, but it's a great way to save your family some $$.

Happy crafting!
