Are you ready for MORE baby stuff? Good, because I made these over the weekend : )
First up, a couple of CUTE little knot hats. I got the free pdf pattern from Prudent Baby. These were kind of a trial run, but they turned out really cute! The pattern was easy to use and I made each one in about 10 minutes.
Next up, Simple Crossover Booties that I found for free on Ravelry.
The booties turned out pretty cute, but the pattern was terrible. Instead of supplying a pattern, she should have just given guidelines. The pattern is pretty simple, just make a T, fold over the "arm" parts and stitch them down... but the number of stitches and rows was way off. The first one I made, following the pattern, I couldn't even stitch together the proportions were so bad.
Ok, sorry. I didn't mean to sound so critical. Just know that the concept is good, but you might have to tweek it. Other than that, this pattern was very easy.
Now I just can't wait for a cute baby head and some cute baby feet to put these on!

Precious! Just in time; my great nephew is arriving this week. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAwww! Hey thanks for the tip about the booties - I need to get some made ASAP. I'd love to know what your adaptations to the pattern were, if you ever have a chance. :)
