A while back I posted about being inspired to do some hand stitching. It had been quite a while since I had done any kind of embroidery anything so I decided to do a really simple project: Make an earring holder. I have a few sets of earrings, but I never wear them. One, because they are all kind of weird and blingy (and you know how I feel about blingy earrings), and two, because they live in the bottom of a plastic box. So in an effort to wear my earrings more, I made an earring holder!
The fabric I chose was circles, so I decided to put some circles on it...Not the best idea in retrospect, but it works. Something with lines or smaller circles would have been better because I can't put any earrings in the middle of the circles. Live and learn.
I decided to try a couple different stitches, just to see how it worked. Please don't look at my technique : P
And here is what they look like hanging!
I actually think having a place for me to see my earrings inspired me to make the Button Earrings and the Lace Earrings.
I just think it's fair to say, I was inspired by this post from Bee-Inspired.
