A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Scrap Wreath-Guest Blogger Alissa!

Since I'm still avoiding actually blogging some of the things I have finished, I thought I would post this cute wreath that my friend made! She was kind enough to post it over here and not on her own blog Transplanted. I love that she used a hanger! (I totally have enough of those lying around!) Thanks Alissa for sharing this with us!

Do you ever feel like crafting, but you are too tired?  I think this happens to me every week night.  But I found this wreath and I made it on a Friday night - that is how simple it is!

If you have ever made a hairtie with scrap pieces of fabric in junior high or high school, you are going to be great at this project!  (If you didn't that is okay too, you will still be great!)I found the idea for this project here (http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/10/tricks-treats-autumn-fabric-wreath-by-elise-blaha.html)All you need is a coat hanger, scraps of fabric, and some time.

I am not a tried and true craft girl, so I got to make my scraps.  I think it works best if your scraps are 18 or 19 centimeters long (that is 7 inches).  The width can vary, from 3 cm to 7 or 8 cm - whatever floats your boat.I had some issues making my hanger into a circle, but my husband helped me out.  And it just has to be ciricle-ish, not perfect.  Once you have transformed your hanger into a circle and have some scraps of fabrics prepared, you are good to go!  Just tie the scraps around the circle.  I followed the suggestion to push the knots close together and twist the fabric in different directions.  After using all the fabric in my house, I had this
a little sparse

I got some more fabric over the weekend and finished the wreath.  I think it came out a little 1980s looking, but it still makes our door more cheerful.

I did not have any ribbon, so I used a big magnet that had a hook on it to put our wreath on our door.  This project was super-easy!  I felt so accomplished when I hung up my finished wreath. Here are some extra photos I have

I seem to have issues with taking pictures that do not cut off the top

or the bottom.
