In an effort to use as many of my supplies as I possibly could, I turned all of my old t-shirts I had been saving into t-shirt yarn and made another crochet rug! If you want to see my first rug, go here.
This time, instead of going in a circle, I used the idea of a granny square. I wanted a rectangular rug, so instead of doing 2dc for each side, I did 2dc, ch1, 2dc, for the longer sides.
Here you can see some of the detail and the colors better.
And here is my hubby standing on the rug so you can see it's size. He has average feet.
I think crocheting the whole thing took under 2 hours using my humongous hook that a bought in Singapore.
In my opinion, the square rug turned out much better than the circle, because it had a pre-designated way to grow in size. I had trouble keeping the rug even when I crocheted the circle. I really like this one and wish I hadn't run out of yarn!

Great Idea! I love that you used T-shirt yarn too... I've been wanting to do something like this and I am glad to see that it works out so well!
