A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Tutorial-Yarn Wreath with Felt Flowers

I am so happy to announce our first GUEST BLOGGER Ashleigh Johnson : )

Materials:
styrofoam ring
one ball of yarn
dinner plate, bowl
felt
hot glue gun w/ glue
bottons, ribbon or anything else you want to use to decorate
Start with a styrofoam ring. Use whatever size or shape you can find. I found mine at Pyeongwha market near Beomil station in Busan.

Wrap yarn around the ring and tie a knot.
Wrap yarn tightly around the ring. This can be a bit tedious, but it will be worth it, I promise.
When you finish wrapping the yarn around the whole ring, finish with another knot. You can now add stripes or criss crosses with another color of yarn . I didn't on this one, but it can be a fun addition.
Now you are going to make some sweet little felt flowers to spice up your now beautifully covered yarn wreath. You will probably want to make a few different sizes of flowers so you will need a medium size dinner plate and a bowl. You can guage it based on how big you want your flowers to be.
Place the dinner plate on your felt and trace around the plate.

Cut out the circle.

Now cut a spiral about 3/4 inch wide. (The wider you cut, the taller your flower will be). Get a little wider as your cut closer to the center if you want an "open petal" look.

When you get to the center leave a small circle, about an inch in diameter. This will be the bottom of your flower.

Starting at the outside tail, cut a wavy line around the outside edge all the way to the center. This will give it a "petal" look.

Beginning with the same outside tail, roll up the felt. It'll look like a small snail when you get started. It may even remind you of your camping days, rolling up your sleeping bag. Just keep rolling until you come to the center circle.

Hot glue the circle to the bottom of your flower.

Make flowers in different sizes. You can make as many or as few as you'd like depending on the size of your wreath.

Hot glue the flowers to the wreath. You could attach them with some long straight pins instead if you'd like, instead. You can add bottons, bows, or whatever you please to your wreath.

Finished!
