A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

No-poo

So, I started going shampooless yesterday. A couple of girls at church are doing it and honestly, I hate shampooing my hair. I can never seem to do it quite right. Either my fingernails are too long or too short. I scrub too hard on this side, but not enough on that... bla, bla, bla...
Not to mention it takes forever to put the shampoo in, scrub, rinse it, put in the conditioner, let it sit, and rinse it out. I totally want my showers to take 5 minutes. If I could go without shaving to save time I would.  (OK, maybe I do most of the time...)

For the last six months or so I've been cutting back on the conditioner. I've only been conditioning my hair once a week... on saturdays, when I have lots of time to waste : )

So, starting yesterday I stopped using all shampoo and conditioner.

WHAT? HOW DO YOU CLEAN YOUR HAIR?

With baking soda and vinegar.

When I first imagined someone doing this, I envisioned the second grade baking soda/vinegar volcano going off on your head and cleaning your scalp. Fortunately, it's not anywhere near that dramatic : ) You just dissolve the baking soda and vinegar into water in separate containers and pour it on your head, rinsing after each product. Please don't ask me too many questions, because I have no idea what I'm doing. However, if you google "baking soda vinegar rinse" or "no-poo" it will bring up recipes and how-tos ( I even think e-how has one). If you have any advice from doing something like this please share the love! Leave me a comment and tell me what you did and how it went : )

I'll let you know how it goes in a few weeks : )
